“We are thrilled to be working with Councillor Norm Kelly for this years Brewers Plate,” stated
Peter Bulut, Owner and President of GLB. “It’s such a great event with a great cause and we’re
excited to get the Councillor into the brewhouse to craft up his own unique beer.”

“Known for its abundant creativity and vibrancy, The City of Toronto has become one of the
premier cities of the world. The craft beer industry is an excellent example of these exciting
changes and I’m delighted its members have teamed up with a worthy cause, War Child, to
bring this fun event to the public,” said Councillor Kelly.
In the past, individuals who’ve attended the Brewers Plate have had the opportunity to bid on
brew days with former Toronto Mayor’s David Crombie and David Miller and current Mayor John
Tory. All proceeds from the successful bidder are donated to charity and the winning individual
not only gets to come to the brewery to brew their own personal beer with the Toronto
personality, but gets to keep the final bottled product, complete with their own custom label and
name and get to enjoy some fresh GLB beer straight from the source.
“The Brewers Plate is the perfect venue to showcase this one-of-a-kind collaboration between
GLB and Councillor Norm Kelly. Not only will guests have the exclusive opportunity to sample
this beer, but also have the chance to support War Child Canada with a bid to experience an
actual brewing day with the Councillor” said Les Murray, President of Beerlicious, the operator
of Brewers Plate.
“The brewery loves the Councillor’s enthusiasm in his approach to his work at City Hall, his
social media presence, and his deep love for the city of Toronto. Since we go about our
business in the same manner, we thought this partnership makes sense and we couldn’t be
happier to have the Councillor’s full support in making this happen,” said Bulut.
