Update March 14: Bonus at Brewers Plate April 17 is the Silent Auction – fab items include one night stay at the famed Gladstone Hotel on Queen St, an astrological reading by CBC celeb Mary Weins, a brewery and winery tour for 10 at Niagara College Teaching Brewery, a beautiful Ontario Craft Brewery Gift Basket, four boxes of fresh deliciious organic produce from Front Door Organics delivered to your door, Omega Juicer from the Big Carrot, Grandview Farms organic Angus beef box, CSI hotdesk, TIFF family membership, Craft Beer tours and Beer Fest tickets, travel and so much more!
Each year we have a silent auction to give our guests other opportunities to support the event beneficiary, which is Not Far From the Tree this year. You simply place a bid next to the item or package displayed on the table, and if yours is the top bid you take home your purchase, or voucher, at the end of the evening. We'll be accepting MC/VISA and cheques.
Not Far From the Tree harvests Toronto’s little-known abundance of urban fresh fruit. The fruit they harvest is entirely given away, including 1/3 that is donated directly to the kitchens of local food banks and shelters.
Note: No Live Auction this year. We have included a live auction in the past, but this year we have decided to enhance the flow of the evening by removing the live auction from the program.
News: The brewing experience at Great Lakes with brewmaster Peter Bullit and celebrity Gord Miller, Environment Commissioner of Ontario, was a huge success in September for Loop Initiatives.
