Grand River Brewing

Grand River Brewing is one of the newer Ontario breweries established in June 2007. The brewery’s mission statement is to produce great tasting beers under 5% ABV for the discerning beer drinkers. The brewery offers five main beers and produces 4 -5 seasonal beers which the local retail store customers and licensee clients eagerly await. Our beers are sold through our on site retail store and various licensees in Southern Ontario. Some customers are traveling greater than 100 kilometers to get our beer and ask when it more of our products will be available in the LCBO!

The brewery has really concentrated on the 100 miles from Cambridge for sales and marketing. The brewery participates in local fund raising events and other activities which has created great relationships in the brewery’s targeted area.

The brewery in January 2009 introduced its beer club. The meetings discuss various beer styles accompanied by tasting several ales or lagers from various breweries. These events are posted on various beer related web sites and Grand River Brewing home page. and they always sell out. A newsletter – the Grand River Growler - was also introduced in 2009 and 2010 to discuss new seasonal beers, various events that the brewery will be attending and our popular beer recipes.

The best marketing strategy has been to produce award winning beers. In the four short years of operations the brewery has been recognized by the local industry for its ‘quick rise to being one of the best in the province’.
